The recent financial crisis has pointed out the limits of conventional finance. The role of financial markets is to provide products and tools that allow an efficient redistribution of risk among agents and over time.
Are conventional models best suited to improve social welfare by favoring the emergence of efficiency-oriented tools and products? Or, are there alternative paradigms that are more efficient from a social welfare point of view? Can Socially Responsible Investment, Ethical Finance, Islamic Finance, Social Finance, Micro Finance lead to more efficient risk sharing? How alternative approaches could allow a more secure and fairer financial system?
This workshop aims to bring together practitioners and academics who want to share and discuss ideas about ways to improve the financial system toward sustainability.
The main objective of the workshop is to present and discuss recent advances in academic research on: Sustainable Finance, Responsible Finance, Ethical Finance, Islamic Finance, Social Finance, Micro Finance…
